Read the 53 research summaries that show how groups of specially trained meditators can prevent crime, terrorism and war.
A TM-Sidha is the term used for a practitioner of Transcendental Meditation (TM) who has accomplished the extensive training for the more advanced TM meditation - the TM-Sidhi programme that includes the yogic flying technique.
|His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi the originator of TM teaching in the West and the prime instigator of the scientific research emphasis that validates TM and the TM-Sidhi programme|
His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the founder of TM in the West, laid down the training programme for TM-Sidhas in the late 1970s. He adapted the traditional Vedic principles of the TM-Sidhi meditation programme to modern western needs and constraints.
Since then tens of thousands of TM-Sidhas have been trained up across the globe. Where these TM-Sidhas have meditated together in large groups they are proven to have an amazingly positive impact on crime, violent conflict, terrorism and even open warfare.
The problem in the context of world peace is that, being private citizens located in different countries, TM-Sidhas are currently not available to meditate together in one place, at least for any length of time.
A dramatic peacemaking effect is made on society when the numbers in a group of TM-Sidhas reach more than the square root of 1% of any given population. At the precise point when a group achieves the square root of 1% we get an immediate and dramatic reduction of negativity, hostility and violence across the subject society. This effect is sometimes known as the Super Radiance effect and is also known as the Extended Maharishi effect.
The immediate impact of the square root of 1% effect is referred to as a "phase transition".
Scientists use the term phase transition to denote the change in a feature of a physical system that results in a discrete transition of that system to another state. For example, the boiling of water is a phase transition of water from a liquid state to a gaseous state.
In the context of the Super Radiance effect, the phase transition kicks in immediately the square root figure has been reached for any given population. The process, once started, really is very fast, which is why we claim that we will create world peace in 24 hours.
During the TM-Sidhi programme and especially, Yogic Flying, the awareness is trained to function from the level of the Unified Field or Transcendental Consciousness.
The TM-Sidhi practice develops the ability to think and act from the most coherent and integrated state of brain activity, the most subtle and powerful level of awareness sometimes called Transcendental Consciousness and also sometimes referred to as the Unified Field of Natural Law.
During TM-Sidhi Yogic Flying, at the moment of maximum global coherence in brain wave activity, the body lifts up.
This indicates profound integration between consciousness and its material expression, the human physiology.
Maximum coherence in brain functioning is achieved naturally during Yogic Flying. And this coherence results in a high degree of mind-body coordination during daily life and the ability to easily fulfill desires simply through the power of intention.
As the body lifts up in the first stage of Yogic Flying, individual practitioners report experiences of exhilaration, greater inner silence and unbounded awareness.
The systematic stabilization of dynamism and silence together enlivens the full creative potential of brain physiology.
Yogic Flying thus accelerates evolution towards total brain functioning usually called enlightenment.

|"The performance of siddhis, which in the days of ignorance were termed superhuman powers, is not something superhuman. Everything is within the normal range of man's ability. To handle the whole of cosmic life is within the range of everyone's own nature, because it is the same nature ... Until now the philosophy of fulfilling desires was to struggle ... Now we have to awaken mankind to a new philosophy of life. Success lies in handling nature, and nature is one's own nature. The more you are able to handle yourself, the more you are able to handle the world." Maharishi Mahesh Yogi|
