Ecuador's military use meditators in peace project

Groups of expert meditators are pacifying trouble spots in Ecuador

Ecquador peace initiativeThe military police in Ecuador have formed a unique conflict prevention arm. The decision, based on fifty research studies, is to use meditation as a peacemaking tool.

Specifically the type of meditation being used creates what is called the Super Radiance effect. (What is the Super Radiance effect?)

Ecuador's population is 14.5 million; so to achieve the Super Radiance effect, all that is needed is 382 expert meditators known as TM-Sidhas (What is a TM-Sidha?).

The number 382 equates to the square root of 1% of Ecuador's population. Previous research shows that when the square root of 1% of a population practice the TM-Sidhi meditation programme together as a group there is a profound and dramatic change in society.

Basically the enhanced brain wave coherence experienced by the expert meditators doesn't just help them. The brain wave coherence created by their meditation is radiated across society and stimulates similar if diluted brain wave coherence in the rest of the population. The result is an immediate breakthrough in the level of peace and positivity in the rest of society (See peace research summaries).

Test Case as a First Step

As a test case, in March 2010, two units were selected from basic military training centers.

Two units of 300 soldiers were taught the meditation technique known as Transcendental Meditation or TM as it is often called. Since then, 200 soldiers from each unit have gone on to learn the more advanced form of meditation to become TM-Sidhas.

After one month of practice, a test was done together with army psychologists in order to check the validity of the program on the individual participants.

From self-assessment reports it was found that:

Implementation at the Military Academy

Based on these test results, the commanding officer decided that:

1. The Transcendental Meditation technique and its advanced practices The TM-Sidhi programme, is to be taught to the two training units to achieve immediate invincibility for Ecuador.

2. The military police should consider implementing the programme at the national officer training academy as part of the students' four years of training.

New officers were appointed to participate in the programme. Currently 339 are becoming TM-Sidhas. Another 400 will be added later in the year so that there will be 739 TM-Sidhas at the academy. The goal is to have at least 1,000 TM-Sidhas regularly practicing the TM-Sidhi programme.

Groups of TM-Sidhas are now used to pacify trouble spots in Ecuador.
